Paranormal Experiments Update: Incredible Out of Body Experience
I just woke up a couple of hours ago from the most bizarre lucid dream and possible Out of Body Experience. I want to get this written down while it's still fresh in my mind. It was a convoluted mess, although as you will see, I did manage to maintain a certain degree of lucid awareness.
Inasmuch as this incredible dream involved multiple layers of consciousness, I hope you can follow the gist of what I'll be struggling to describe. There were dreams within dreams, OBEs within OBEs, and I'm not going to bother trying to analyze this one to death.
It can speak for itself~
No hypnogogics, quickly passed into sleep.
Dream:
I am lying in bed, feeling thick and muffled. I awaken to find myself moving out of the bed, covers. The room looks very similar to real life bedroom, but the dimension feels distorted, larger or stretched.
I exit my room and head down the hallway. I'm not sure if it was due to the spatial distortion or what, but it feels like I am still muffled, or moving through cotton candy (NOT the moving through water feeling - I felt absolutely no resistance in anyway). Hard to describe, like I am surrounded by a 'baffling of air'.
I proceed through the house and go on back to my cousin's room, to tell him I am out of my body.
He is aware and remarks on my condition.
With that, and still in my home, I explore a little this new condition and feeling. Very, very odd.
I find myself drawn back to my bed, my body is mounded up under the covers.
Then I awaken (though still dreaming) within my dream.
I move out of my dream bed, thinking I am having another out of body.
Then I realize that no, THIS second OBE is not the same as the first. I am still encased in the body, and everything feels really thick.
I can see my upright body in a sort of 360 fashion. I see what reminds me of baffles of stuffing encased around my arms, in a wrap of sorts. My cousin is now with me, in my room, watching my progress. I am showing him this padding that encases me, and explaining the difference between lucid dreaming and the OBE state.
For some reason, I feel a shadowy unease, or fear, creeping over me. I can't define it any better than that, but I want to head it off/avoid something.
With that, I go back to bed, to sleep (am still dreaming all of this).
I get up a THIRD time and this, I understand, is like the first. I'm free again.
If anything, things feel lighter and smoother.
It is then that I seem to go somewhere, to leave the vicinity of my room or else slip back into a genuine dream state where I have very spotty recollection of events that followed:
'Seems like I was talking with someone, dunno.
The frustrating thing is, the last thing on my mind when I went to sleep was anything even remotely paranormal. I was feeling lazy, grounded, and had not even thought about my (sigh) promise to get back on the bandwagon and resume my paranormal experiments.
And yet ... I can't swear to this ... but I almost do remember something happening or whathaveyou shortly before I went to sleep. Maybe I just buzzed through the hypnogogic state?
Interesting as this was to experience (God, it was so bizarre - and I think I've failed to capture the essential feeling in words - sorry), it just opens up more questions without the satisfaction of having answered any, or achieved any basic knowledge.
I do want to add this, my frustration with the above doesn't stem so much from a right-brain inability to describe the above in left-brain terms, as I was fairly lucid throughout most of it. I think it's the memory lapses that bother me, and that I can't liken it or make the proper comparisons to accurately get the out of body bit across to my readers.
I still say, as I've long insisted, if the 'after life' (so to speak) is anything like the above, we are in for a heck of an adjustment period. We may be like infants, having to learn an entirely new set of skills in order to function with any degree of conscious control in the after life plane of existence.
Oh Boy.

Near Death Experience and Astral Projection - Is a Body still a Body?
This is a topic which I've been meaning to touch upon. There are numerous books and personal accounts on the subject of astral projection - be they near death experiences (NDE), out of body experiences (OBE) or even types of lucid dreaming and false awakenings. Nevertheless, with all the wealth of material available, there are certain tidbits which surface now and then, only to remain generally un-remarked upon, largely because we are so focused upon the paranormal forest in front of us, that we have a rather unfortunate tendency to ignore the individual trees. It is specifically these tidbits, these hints of higher strangeness, that may help unravel the mystery surrounding experiences of a seemingly non-physical nature.
One such hint that grabbed my attention comes from a book entitled, "My Seven Minutes in Eternity" by William Dudley Pelley. In essence, the author undergoes an NDE or OBE, to find himself in the presence of deceased acquaintances in an unearthly place of beauty and light - pretty ordinary stuff, so far. However, as Mr. Pelley is initially faint and shaky during this 'transition' to the other side, his 'body' (or semblance thereof) is at first held supported in the arms of one of his 'friends'. This friend, though, suggests the author take a dip in the pool (familiar motif) to help him feel better and cleanse himself of any after effects. Meanwhile, the deceased friend then proceeds to clean and wipe his own hands off on a towel, as if he had been dirtied or contaminated by the direct 'hands on' contact with the still-living Pellee!
Now, if we are going to attach any veracity to any portion of the author's account, then we must also take on faith the actuality that such an event as the 'hand cleaning' did in fact occur. The equation, shorn of labels and common vernacular, goes something like this:
a) living person experiences an unknown type of trauma
b) living person (called person 1), finds himself entering an unfamiliar environment
c) This environment contains persons (2 & 3) familiar to him, although both are 'deceased' in terms of person 1's normal, waking environment
d) person 2 comes into direct contact with the 'body' of person 1
e) person 2 cleanses himself after such contact
f) person 2 suggests person 1 cleanse himself in a pool (full body immersion?)
As bizarre as the above may seem, it only appears to be strange because we may likely be laboring under a false set of pre-conceptions regarding the physical nature of Here and There, death and the physical body, and all the other dichotomous black and white misconceptions which we have taken as truths regarding the conditions of reality.
To continue along this line of reasoning: it is implied by the author's account that, even in this other environment, his 'body' was somehow perceived to be 'contaminated' and his friend sought to rid his own form of any possible exposure, from which we may surmise that these 'contaminants' were most certainly transmittable. How does one contaminate the dead? This is excellent food for thought, as it forces us to revise our concept of astral and physical. Are we speaking of germs or bacteria capable of surviving into what we think of as the Astral plane?
There's much more to be said, but it's after 3 a.m. and I'm ready to catch some sleep. But before I go, I'd like to point out that this 'cleansing' and 'immersion' into a shower, pool of water, liquid, tank and so forth is also a fairly common feature in many accounts of Gray Alien close encounters. Interesting, I think. And when someone tells you that close encounters, alien abductions and astral projections are a recent (post 1950) phenomenon (and myth or modern confabulation), please bear in mind that the above book I mentioned was first published in 1929.

Alternate Realities
Like it or not, the dichotomous brain system of the homosapien is our only interface with other worlds, realities and the inhabitants thereof. Generally speaking, we understand that nature creates higher, more complex lifeforms via a process of division, growth and re-integration. Our brains, however, while seemingly so 'divided', have yet to fully reintegrate according to this process.
Though man as yet is 'incomplete', it is not unreasonable to assume that someday our species will reap the benefits of such reintegration, given that man survives long enough to complete this natural process. Furthermore, it is equally plausible that, while lacking the biological reintegrated brain system in the here and now, it may lay within the near future that our technology will step in with a simulacrum to suit the purpose.
We might also consider that were there to exist humanoids with similar brain systems to our own, some of these theoretical beings may have already successfully completed this stage of the process, and be privy to all manner of thought and action of which we can only speculate at this time. If indeed the universe mathematically teams with life, then reason may also assume that, at least somewhere and somewhen, the above has certainly occurred. Again, either biologically or artificially.
So, from where we currently stand with our present level of knowledge, we refer to paranormal interfaces as astral travel, multi-dimensional, alternate worlds and realities, out of body experiences, 'going within' and all the rest of the commonly held vernacular. And our myths, legends, encounters, dreams, hypnotic trance states, hallucinations, imaginations are literally riddled with these interfaces.
Notes taken from my private journal regarding interfaces:
1998)
Another strange dream. At a gathering of unknown cousins and family members though none of these persons are known to me. Was given to understand that I was in service to this family. Several of these 'cousins' were grouped in front of the fireplace. I was in private conversation with a male cousin with large, piercing dark eyes, when a female cousin interrupted to sarcastically inquire, "do you know where you are?" I was very confused at this point, because I thought myself to be at my aunt's house in Ky, waiting for my dad to return. (my aunt's is the only place I have ever been in the presence of any cousin's, we have a rather small family located out of state)
1999)
Very unusual hypnogogic. I was looking at a living image of a man, face to face, in my mind. At the same time, I was fully aware that he was looking back at me. When I looked into his eyes, there was a shock of recognition, I realized that he was myself, although I could not understand how or why. There were no familiar characteristics shared. Was this my soul? Or a different incarnation of myself? I also felt as if he were more knowledgeable than I was. He knew me better than I knew him.
2000)
Weird experience. Not sure what to make of it. Dreamed I was in the depths of space, there were stars and energies all around me, while my awareness of self was without a body or form, I seemed to be a point of consciousness somewhere out in space. Without knowing how, I 'noticed' an Earth-like planet and wanted to explore. Instantly, I had a body and found myself on the surface of a dry, arid and brightly lit world. I hid behind a rock and 'blanked' out my thoughts to avoid detection. Then, I crept into a house and encountered what were possibly the minds of sleeping inhabitants. They were confused and wary of me. I reassured them with the remark that, "It's okay. I'm from a future dimension".
2000)
As I am coming awake (hypnopompic state), I am aware of two persons standing, unseen, between the side of my bed and where it sits flush against the wall. I hear one of them remark, "She looks so sweet laying there asleep".
2002)
I had been dreaming about a friend's deceased mother. Fully awake, I sat up in bed and reclined my head on my right arm. Suddenly, I felt my arm knocked out from under me and I dropped my head. Within a split second I realized that my physical arm was still in its original position and my head had not fallen. Something or someone had managed to knock my astral body out of my physical one. Who and why?
2003)
After work, I rested in bed for a while, debating whether or not to take a quick nap. Suddenly, I was keenly aware of the presence in the room. It felt like an electric 'thickening' in the air. Then I felt something messing with my hair, and a pressure on my right knee. I stayed mentally and physically very still, and made a great effort to home in on whatever was there. Something was there but made no further effort at contact.
2006)
Last night when I went to bed, as I was getting comfortable and just stretched out flat on my back, I felt myself start to slip out of body and fall through the mattress. In that brief moment, I actually felt the upper part of my body sink through the mattress in almost a suffocating fashion. It felt physically accurate. In that momentary panic, I instinctively 'caught' myself and realigned myself back into the physical body. I wish I had not reacted in panic and been able to stay with the experience.
2006)
In a vivid hypnogogic, a woman was trying to communicate with me and gave me her name - which she pronounced carefully and slowly for my understanding. An image of the spelling also accompanied the name. Akeesha. Ah-Kee-shah.
2007)
I am once again on the hard, sandy surface of an unknown world. It is night, and there are nearby moons or planets large in the sky. The night sky is more brightly lit than Earth's - I think because of these nearby satellites. I know this place very well, but I don't go there often. It's a world not in Earth's solar system. I am walking along under the night sky, the area seems largely deserted and is in the middle of nowhere, yet I know, too, that this planet is practically deserted as a whole, it is more of an outpost now. There are a couple of large, corrugated metal hangers to my left, but they are dark and unoccupied at this time. However, I know I have been in there before, something to do with energy experiments. Ahead of me down this roadway, though not in my field of vision, the land becomes more vegetated, and there is a sharp declivity, like a strip pit, that lays just before the low, brushy woods begin. I know the others are not about at this time, but they can be contacted if I made the effort. There is not sufficient reason to do so, as I am only visiting at this time.
2008)
We are visiting a water world, we have an instructor/guide with us. A traveler. This world is almost entirely made up of water, there are several small landmasses scattered about. Those landmasses or islands are connected by long, narrow bridges which just barely clear the ocean's surface. But these oceans, or seas, do not have any tidal action. The water is a light to medium green, and I have the impression it is not very deep and also that it is nearly universal in depth across the surface of this planet. My group is crossing from one island to the next, and in my concentration to get to the next island mass, as I am not paying close enough attention, I slip off the narrow bridge into the lukewarm water. The water has a different buoyancy than that of earth, it may be more viscous or thicker with plankton, or salt? There are no clouds in the sky, no shadows that cross the surface of the still ocean. I clamber back onto the bridge and my guide is patient but stands with a wry expression on his face. I mildly resent his gentle demeanor of wisdom/experience, and I try to temper my own impatience. We are always in the company of the experienced ones on our 'field trips'.
And those are just a few representations from my own journal. For anyone interested in astral travel and alternate realities, I recommend the following books:

Light Being
While not all testaments arise from Near Death Experiencers (NDE), the majority as given appears to. Typically, the chain of events runs something like this:
An individual in such medical distress that he may be pronounced dead by physicians or attendants, finds himself yet fully awake, and possessed of a heightened awareness as he overhears the consternation of those frantically trying to save him. He may be puzzled or else emotionally removed from the chaos which surrounds him, because to him, in the final truth of the matter, he is marvelously fine. He may attempt to tell his rescuers as much, but he is no longer quite of this earth and his reassurances fall on deaf ears.
At this point he begins to feel his 'essence' or the real him, lift up and away from his physical form (though there are those who report the sensation of being 'blasted' or 'shot' from out of their bodies). He may hover near the ceiling for a while, or above the heads of the crowd should his experience have taken place out of doors. But before long, the NDE next finds himself moving further and further away from the earthly location, until he arrives at a swirling 'tunnel' that opens before him, where all is dark, though most NDEs express no fear. (Sometimes this tunnel is described to have a 'bend' in it, and some NDEs mention feeling themselves 'separate' even further, as if they have somehow 'shed' another layer of their earthly selves)
Moving through this vortex at incredible speed, the individual spies a light in the distance, at the end of the tunnel, and as he moves closer and closer to this point, the light grows larger and brighter til at last he emerges in what can only be described as 'an unearthly light of such brilliance, though my eyes were unaffected and I was able to view it comfortably, and I knew I was no longer of Earth!'
In essence at this point, the transmuted soul finds himself in the presence of a Being of Light and, depending upon his belief structure, he may call this light God or Christ or anything else - in fact, he may not even attach a label at all and simply insist that it was a light being, pure and simple. And this Light Being is a real personage, a personal being who emanates such love and warmth to the NDE, that the individual is both humbled and awed, though completely at ease within the scope of this magnificent light. Many NDEs report a feeling of familiarity with the Light Being, as if they should somehow know who and what this is, but they cannot quite pin it down or remember.
Furthermore, the Light Being is said to be so gentle and kind, non-judgmental, and even exhibit a sense of humor as it suits the ensuing exchange between man and 'angel'. At this juncture, the individual may be told 'it is not his time' and he is to be returned to his earthly form; or he may be given the 'choice' whether to proceed onward into the Light, or else return to his body. Typically, the NDE is shown a panoramic life review, which engulfs him in a complete virtual experience of every thought, word and deed he committed, and he will also have the ability to experience his actions and the resultant effects on others. It is said that not a moment, not a single thought or deed of the individual's life is omitted from this review.
The Light Being, still from a loving objectivity, may pose such a question as "What have you done with your life that is sufficient?". The emphasis appears to be that of love, or actions and thoughts stemming from love, as opposed to success and gain. The purpose of the Light Being and the life review seems to be that of instilling greater insight into one's actions and how they effect others about us (including pets, strangers, and so forth), and what value may be derived thereof. Love, above all else, is the commodity most prized!
Who or what The Light Being actually is may be a matter of personal belief, upbringing, social acculturation, et al. From higher self to the Lord of Lords, all or none may be correct assumptions. But one thing is beyond debate, those that have been fortunate enough to encounter the Light Being and bring the awareness of such an experience back with them to their earthly existence, consider themselves better for it!

The Grays and Reptilians - Plan B
The Grays Alien and Abduction
What is the next step?
