The Secret Power of the Mind - Part 4

There is little more fascinating (and ultimately rewarding) than investigating the untapped potential of the human mind! And, if quantum physics holds any truth closest to its heart, it is that there can be no separation from 'he who observes' and 'that which is observed'. Which signifies, in essence, that we ARE what we think. The human mind imposes its expectations, fears, and beliefs outward and onto the blank canvas of reality, and the resultant *picture* is then mirrored back at the mind/observer - who FURTHER interacts, imposes, etc upon this self-same mirror thereby RE-enforcing the mind's original construction, etc and on to infinity we go. No wonder it is so difficult and lengthy a process for a leopard to change his own spots!

Before we delve further, please review my earlier posts regarding the untapped potential of the human mind:

Alright, then. Hopefully you have taken the time to read the above, and are eager to explore further in depth.

Now, regardless of whether or not the *mirror effect* is some mysterious force of the Prime Creator, or a by-product of quantum entanglement, the observer effect is fairly consistent across whichever board you care to assign it. As above, so below. Path within, signposts without - just so we are clear.

Before I proceed, repeat the following silently or aloud until you are comfortable in your own mind that you completely and absolutely understand the basic premise of what we are discussing: "AS I THINK, SO IT BECOMES. AS I BELIEVE, SO IT COMES QUICKLY. AS I KNOW, SO IT IS DONE."

Yes. There are THREE stages of the Mirror Effect.
1. "Thought" plants the seed.
2. "Emotion" is the fertilizer that may quicken growth.
3. "Knowing" completes the cycle.

That is why, when studying any positive thinking, affirmations, and all related matters, one must be IMPECCABLE in one's thinking. There is no room for wishy-washy, vacillating thoughts. To quote Don Juan: a warrior must be impeccable in his thoughts.

And, of course, in order to imprint one's beliefs, desires and dreams upon the cosmic blank canvas, one must remove or patiently await the disintegration of whatever one has previously imprinted. In other words, the soil must be made clean else we are forever battling the detritus of our former gardens.

As our reality appears to suffer under the laborious constraints of Time, one must also exercise patience. A patient and impeccable thought may move mountains.

Alright, you say. I know all this. What next? Because there's always a next, isn't there? ...

This is where the study of Mind Power truly begins to grow fascinating. Because. The next step presupposes and works along the line of a SECOND intelligent party present.

We may call this 2nd mind present by any moniker we wish ... Other, Alien, Angel, Higher Self, Bob Brown, etc. As long as we are in agreement that this SECOND party is intellectually self-aware is all that's needed at this point.

So. The players now stand at three:
1] The original observing human mind
2] The blank canvas/universal mirror/quantum field
3] Another thinking self-aware mind of unknown origin and/or intent

This is where the game really takes off. For it is a rather simple notion to suppose that all one must do, to move one's car around the track in the fashion one best prefers, is to think precisely and consistently and unceasingly of the preferred direction.

But what IF another mind is also at play? What IF another mind has ALREADY set up certain conditions, constraints, rewards and punishments - or traps & fail safes along the way? How would we ever know for certain if there existed a behind-the-scene programmer? What happens when we consider the mirror effect of the quantum field as a computerized program [and please remove any remnants of The Matrix in your thinking, for that is NOT what is being proposed] - because it is very likely that IF there is indeed another thinking mind[s] present, then it is equally plausible that any program/construction must bear that particular mind[s] bias and/or prejudices.

Thus, the ultimate question must be - how would one go about discovering the 2nd mind's influence or revealing it's presence?

How might one trick the 2nd mind or 'game' the system? And, before I go one sentence further, I am NOT evoking a Creator/God when I speak of the invisibly present 2nd mind. Not at all. In fact, for ease of usage, what I AM putting out here is - say, a rather brilliant group of evolved minds somewhere far, far away. Or whatever. It really doesn't matter at THIS point, because first we must test for such a possibility without worrying about a theoretical zip code.

Now then. As we go about our daily life, it is impossible to thoroughly remove one's self from the world about us. We see good souls suffering hardships, or dying before their time. We see crime and cruelty seemingly go without punishment. We see, hear and experience so much so that it truly appears that our world, planet, society is one ass-backwards fubar. Where is the justice, where is the fair play, where is the mirror, we ask?

Right in front of us. We will see what we expect to see. We will experience what we expect to experience, and so forth. And yet ...

What if it is ALL mere illusion? That is where the power of the human mind fills the gaps. Paint what you wish to see, speak what you wish to hear. But is there an even BETTER way to create/think the experience we wish to make manifest?

If there IS a second mind at work, a hypothetical brilliant computer programmer and his crew, what have they brought to the table? What are their biases and preferences? What hidden *Easter eggs* or clues have they scattered about just waiting to be unearthed? Hmm ... I like the sound of that, don't you?

But no matter what, it is a pretty safe bet that this hypothetical 2nd entity has an "agenda" or "purpose" in mind. If you are fortunate enough to have a computer programmer/designer as a friend, ask them how they work, how they think. As I know one, I can assure you that they create with a PURPOSE in mind.

So, again. What is the purpose, the agenda of our hypothetical 2nd mind/entity? How can we think or conduct ourselves in such a way as to reveal the hidden purpose? Is there a better way to 'pass Go' and avoid any pitfalls along the route?

To seriously advance along the line of utilizing the Power of Your Mind to the absolute BEST of your ability, I suggest you pay very close attention to the seemingly innocuous events and endless minutia of your day to day life. Keep a detailed diary, and keep it updated faithfully. Look for cause and effect, for that is the most efficient tool at one's disposal.

And certainly be on the look out for synchronicity. Accept nothing as mere coincidence. Personally, I suspect that incidents of synchronicity, most notably those that come fast on the heels of a particular thought or experience, are indicative of a glitch in the program, or - at the very least - are suggestive that one is closer to the fabric of reality, as it really is. If that makes sense ...

In summation, remember the 1st triad of Mind Power: mind, intent, mirror. Remember the 2nd triad of the Mirror Effect: thought, emotion/belief, knowing/conviction. And most importantly, by meticulous observation, be on the lookout for the 3rd triad of Partnership: the human mind [you], the mirror itself, and the behind-the-scenes secondary mind/unknown programmer.

Does God Exist?

It's only recently that I've pondered the existence of God without experiencing that furtive, fearful sense that I'm somehow committing an unpardonable sin simply by daring to question, what is to many, an unassailable given. IS THERE A GOD?

God, with a capital G. As in the primary source, the singular, the First Cause. As we humans have this persistent need to personify the forces around us - let us also consider then the Great, Bearded Man in the Sky, or man's idea of God.

Personally, my opinion is that if indeed a singular First Cause Force/Intelligence does exist, then It is a far cry from man's limited notion of what God may embody. However, and despite how inexpressibly difficult a concept the following at first appears, the universe does not necessarily require a First Cause. Like it or not.

While my heretical thinking might at first brand me as an atheist, an agnostic might be the more accurate term - although I think the need for labeling is pointless. We're all on a journey of discovery, and this is where I am at THIS point in the Great Process.

Nonetheless, when I examine the concept of God in the strictest sense of the term, the first and most glaring obstacle in my acceptance thereof, is the notion of Fair Play.

You know, that whole ethics vs free will kind of thing - one of which seems to be sadly lacking, in my humble opinion.

While it is reported, and perhaps accurately, that man is not capable of seeing the entire picture from his limited perspective - it appears to me that any deity which allows the level of cruelty against the helpless & innocent as is so rampant on our dear planet Earth, THAT deity is sadly lacking in ethics and has a tremendous lot to answer for. To be held accountable for.

Inexcusable, no matter what the lesson nor how big a picture we are talking here.

In absolute honesty, the majority of humans are a rather selfish, brutish and frequently cruel species that has an unfair advantage over the rest of God's green earth. Not only that, but we are lazy and stupid and frequently malicious as well. The human focus, in general, is nearly always self-serving, even if that means another living, feeling creature must suffer unthinkable tortures as long as man's desires are to be met.

Nice plan, God. Thank You for the creation and domination of a singular species with the ability to thoroughly rape and ruin the other 99% of Your children.

But there's good news! Allegedly man has a soul, a little perk denied the 99%, so we're the only creature that matters here. And we are so worried, so fearful that our SOUL make it to the free parking/home base called Heaven, where our trials and tribulations shall cease to matter, that we don't give a tinker's damn about the process. This is a case where the end justifies the means. Allegedly.

So, no. When I see forests destroyed and indigenous populations rendered homeless, when I see helpless animals tortured or babies beaten to death, when our foodstuffs are *manufactured* under conditions that most of us do NOT wish to know about - because then the unpleasant burden of knowledge would make the veal or milk or chicken patty less palatable, when - in order to serve man's horrible vanity that he/she might appear desirable - creatures are blinded that we might color our hair, skin, and so on and so forth ... I cannot and will not believe that any supposed deity/creator could have good reason to allow such atrocities under the guise of Free Will.

Not only is it deplorable ethics, but it is also illogical. Therefore, progressing along this particular line of reasoning, is it possible that man's idea of God is terribly flawed/limited [biased?]? Are we then to consider the notion that perhaps, should an almighty truly exist, that God is more of a First Cause/Force?

Certain proponents of theocracy would have it that not only is man incapable of understanding God, but that Man is NOT to question the mysterious [that's putting it nicely] workings of God. And as I prefaced with, it is only in my increasing age that I have begun to feel even remotely comfortable with questioning the supposed ineffable.

However, we are still left with the paradox of struggling to reconcile a benevolent God or Creator or First Cause et al, with the conditions of cruelty and corruption rife within our paradigm.

We go to church on Sunday to bask in the reflected glow of God's Word, then we drive home in our gas-guzzlers, ignore our pets dependent upon us for love & sustenance, we remove our clothing that was largely produced in third world countries for a pittance and under sub-human conditions, we feast on the flesh of animals that were abused and will never know kindness nor such basics as green grass and fresh air, we cleanse our skin of cosmetics, perfumes, and other laboratory concoctions, ... we do all the above and more besides, and yet have the unmitigated gall to believe our souls are somehow *saved*.

If that is not the epitome of insanity, I don't know what is.

So, no - I don't see how man's idea of God is plausible. Therefore, and again - along this one particular line of conjecture because life is neither black or white - God, should He or She or It be a real & true entity, must be something entirely different from what we would like to comfortably believe.

I'm not sure what THAT might be, but until we know for certain, could we please agree to stop killing each other and the rest of the ecosystem in the meantime? That's what I'd like to see God/Creator/First Cause, etc do. Give man a "Time-Out" and send us to our room for further reflection.

In conclusion, there are those who say that time and space are not linear constructs at all, that everything exists at once in an ever-present Now. If that is true, then consider the possibility that in our linear perspective, God is something we create as we go along. That the loving and omnipotent God we seek can only spring from our own being. And if that should be the case, we've certainly got our work cut out for us.

I truly don't know.

After Death Communications

One of the most profound paranormal experiences one may have is that which is commonly referred to as an after death communication - wherein an individual has sufficient reason to believe they have been purposefully contacted (in one fashion or another, typically via the dream state) by a deceased loved one, family member, close friend or other.

While after death communications (ADCs for short) may purportedly be brought about by forced means such as seances, mediumships, or other like methods that seem dubious at best, it appears for the most part that ADCs occur during our sleep state. Likewise, it seems that despite our earnest desire for such communication - for our own peace of mind regarding the continuity of those we hold dearest to our heart - the ball primarily appears to be in some other court, not ours, and we, the living, are stuck on the receiving end.

At least for now.

Here is where I'd like to add my privately held opinion that if there is indeed any objective, scientific validity to the continuation of human awareness beyond the grave - then at some upcoming point in man's technological future we will most certainly learn to bridge the gap between Here and There.

We will become the callers, instead of the callees.

We will do this, despite any and all arguments to the contrary, because we must.

Because we are no different than any other living object in that we are are survival driven (which is a whole 'nother topic).

Now, back to the matter of after death communications per se:
For the sake of discussion, let us (at least temporarily) take it as a given that death is not necessarily the end of human continuity - that in some fashion or another man survives his own death.

Let's also assume that we retain some rudimentary sense of self-identity, at the very least. Which is to say, we remember.

For without *self-memory* - we are screwed (which is an awfully sticky wicket, hence the dilemma of *reincarnation*).

But if after death communications are anything to go by, the deceased human being - to some degree for some unknown period of 'time' - seems to survive death and recognize his connection to those he's left behind in life.

For a true example, consider the following: My mother died way back in 1969. My father followed her decades later in 2002. Thirty three years lapsed between the deaths of my parents. Yet, when my father died I believe I may have received an actual After Death Communication.
Arriving to the town of his birth and death, in the wee hours of the morning of his visitation & funeral, I had a few hours to catch a little sleep after having traveled all night.

I dreamed that my father came to me, standing in front of me with my long-deceased mother silently sitting - waiting for him to conduct his 'business' with me - on the sofa in the background of the living room where I lay sleeping.

I knew he was dead, he knew I knew, and without any preamble, my father explained that he wanted me to tell everyone that he'd be there for his funeral, but no one would recognize him because he'd be dressed funny.

As a quick aside here, I'm puzzled as to why my mind, or his communication, used the word 'funny' to describe how he would be dressed, so to speak. The best I can come up with, at the moment, is that it was metaphoric for strange, odd, ironic, humorous, unusual clothing or the dressing of his new soul/energy self. Why the use of a seeming metaphor in the first place? While there was nothing surreal or right brain suggestive of this ADC, I now suspect that the word 'funny' was used as a sort of all-encompassing symbol that held all the possible meanings of the word funny to be true - a shorthand of the mind, if you will. In other words, the one word held many truths.

Anyway, upon awakening I was of course flabbergasted by this dream, or ADC. And also of the fact that after all those long years, it seemed my mother had waited for my father and was present to greet him on the other side.

From this dream I deduced that my mother had retained enough memory and self-awareness to remember her husband after 33 earth years had passed. Not withstanding that time may be different or non-existent there, at least in earthly passage it was a considerable amount of time.

That gave me some hope, clue or indication that we - the living - may not be so quickly forgotten by those who have passed on into death (whatever that really means).

And here is where I have to backtrack, to lay a little groundwork as to why this ADC and peek into the likely continuation of my mother was so important ... when my mother passed away in the spring of 1969, I was only 11 years old. Almost immediately after she died, I had a frightening dream (or was it an ADC?). In this dream I saw my mother walking in the front door, and I knew that she was dead. I was terrified in that knowledge, and didn't think the dead were supposed to be walking back into their homes. Having been exposed at an early age to such mid-century paranormal fare as Shock Theatre, Dark Shadows, One Step Beyond and all the rest, I wasn't intellectually prepared for anything beyond sensational drivel. Thus I was scared senseless by seeing a dead person return from grave, walking in my (our) front door.

As mom continued to glide closer in the dream, I hid and closed my eyes, hoping she'd go back wherever she came from.

And thus went the only dream or possibly ADC from my mother I ever recalled until the time of my father's passing, thirty three years later.

***
As silly and unlikely as this may sound, I've often wondered why I didn't again dream of my mother in the interim between my parents passing - AND the conclusion I've reached, partly based on nothing more tangible than 'feeling', is that my mother was a little 'put out' by my post-mortem rejection of her, and stubbornly decided to 'keep away'.

She wasn't a red head for nothing.

But irony aside, if my feelings were somehow correct, then that would also argue in favor of the continuation of the personality/ego along with the soul energy.

In the 2002 dream or After Death Communication with my father, as I have mentioned my mother sat quietly in the background, waiting for him to finish his business with me. She sat silently immobile, perched ladylike on the edge of the sofa, legs demurely crossed at the ankles with her hands still in her lap, turned in dad's direction as he spoke with me. She gave no indication of my presence, entirely focused on my father as she were.

I did notice that though her figure appeared dimmer or faintly obscured to me, she also appeared far younger and thinner, healthier than she was at the time of her death.

Now, again - if we are to take this apparent ADC at face value - it is plausible that she was not aware of my presence. Since we've really no idea how these things work, the mild obfuscation of her form may have had to do more with privacy or manners than any dimming of vision on my part. Or hers.

Think about it. When someone wishes to speak with us directly, or privately, we tend to move apart from the herd. We sequester ourselves as a means to gaining privacy of discourse. Perhaps my mother's obfuscation was the equivalent of that same social behavior over there.

***
I suspect we have a ways to go before we can fully understand exactly what an After Death Communication truly is. I also seriously consider the case that should there continue to mount evidence supporting the continuance of the human creature post mortem, then man will literally move heaven on it's mount until we have exposed this misty unknown to the full light of human understanding.

Curiosity, along with the survival drive, will most certainly take us beyond the realm of superstition, theology, fear and ignorance.

While urban legend has it that Thomas Edison considered the making of a machine to talk with the dead, someone - sometime - somehow will firmly take such a thing out of the pages of fiction and into the annals of technology. You can bet on it.

Alien Abduction in Dreams

As infrequently as most of us remember our dreams in detail, from time to time there may be remembered a dream of exceptional clarity - one that is stunning in both it's emotional impact upon the dreamer, as well as the unusual content of the dream itself.

Not discounting instances of sleep paralysis (or the Old Hag syndrome) or lucid dreaming, there are those dreams redolent with a particular alien flavor - a certain level of high strangeness - that leaves us scratching our heads come the morning light.

While most of us who have made at least a cursory attempt to understand this type of strangeness have resultantly become familiar with hypnogogic and hypnopompic imagery (alpha state), the deeper slower rhythms of delta and theta states, the increasing frequency of REM (shorter cycles) as the night progress, as well as the roles that melatonin, serotonin and DMT play in regulating our wake/sleep state, and finally - the processing/condensed storage/enhancement of memory via REM common to nearly all mammals as a means to save on *space* [or size of the skull/brain cavity kept within a range suitable to the mother's birth canal].

Okay, so we know all this.

And yet ...

What we do not know is how a mind not of this planet may function. Pre-supposing there are indeed intelligent beings scattered throughout our ever expanding cosmos, they are just as likely to possess brains (a) with one singular undivided hemisphere, (b) have as little as one or two brain wave states, (c) or half a dozen, or (d) have a completely different data processing center as compared to our own brain/nervous system.

So while it can be reasonably stated that man is finally exiting the dark ages as regards the workings of his own biology, the same cannot be said for anything else that may be 'out there'.

Which leaves us with a quite valid conundrum as to whether or not so called alien dreams have any objective validity beyond the subjective worth of the dreamer.

While it may be the height of foolishness to attribute any import to dreams of Greys or Reptilian beings, it may equally well be the height of arrogance/ignorance to disregard such dreams.

For we simply do not know.

***

Now, if my own personal dreams are of any merit, then I can truthfully say that - upon close and detailed examination - they [as is customary with the right brain state] are rife with metaphor and symbolics. As most dreams are.

I can also say that these metaphors and symbols do not extend to the exceptional dream characters sometimes present. Again, to be clear - it is often the dream imagery that is symbolic or overlayed, not necessarily the *communication* as given within the dream.

I'll admit, this is annoying to try and make concisely understood. But there is an unique distinction between ordinary dreams and those that possibly indicate another mind present besides that of the single dreamer.

For a good example - one of my dream characters asked, with the utmost degree of facetiousness (or snarky, if you prefer) - "do you know where you are?"

Unfortunately, I didn't. I would love to know what this character would have said if I had been lucid enough to pursue the line of questioning. Maybe another time ...

Anyway, not knowing how any other mind besides the human mind functions, it is possible, if not plausible, that somehow, somewhere, there may be intelligent beings aware of our existence who reach us via our dream state. In fact, it is not wholly unlikely that for some beings the dream state might be the only way/time they CAN interact with us.

Or interface, as I like to say.

However. There arises potential problems with the above theory, and to name but a few:
1. We do not have any infallible means by which we can distinguish the workings of our own imagination and the intrusion of an objective *other*. God knows, our mental health as a species is on shaky enough ground as is.
2. The gullible, superstitious, ignorant or unstable among us could be made worse by entertaining such a possibility in the first place. Some egos/personalities being more fragile than others.
3. If the human mind is an open door to everyday stimuli of all sorts, is it also *open* to whomever or whatever happens to land on our doorstep? Can we close the door if desire or need be?

On a more positive note, if alien abduction dreams may sometimes be distorted, yet true interfaces with other objective beings ... consider the following metaphors - ones I've uncovered by taking the time to commit all note worthy dreams to the annals of my tattered dream journal:
pregnant - to expect or be *expecting*
doctor/physician - one who heals or examines
baby - to bring forth, new life, young
fossil or dinosaur - old, extinct, buried
hospital - where one is healed
alien - visitor, alien-to-the-dreamer, unfamiliar, unknown

And so forth. I know I'm missing more, but without digging through a 14 year backlog, that's all that comes to mind at the moment. Yet, my point is that one should not necessarily take one's dream surroundings or actions at the same literal value as one does to all things awake. It is too easy to *jump* to the wrong conclusion when one is dealing with right brain imagery.

Which is absolutely not to relegate our right brain workings to the same dung heap as unicorns and dancing pink elephants.

If anything, after years of paying close attention to the amazing charade-like nature inherent in right brain communication, I have developed a deep respect for this often overlooked and easily dismissed portion of our being.

This silent partner who - though without conscious voice - guides, counsels and intuits every man, woman and child from birth to grave.

In conclusion, I'd like to add that though it may be eons before the seeming mystery of what alien abduction dreams truly represent - self, other or some bizarre combination thereof - it is a highly rewarding, often fascinating hobby to keep a dream journal. If you've never done so, or for whatever reason abandoned the practice, now is the time to begin anew.

Especially if you have reason to suspect/fear/desire that you may have been *contacted* - so to speak.

All I ask, ... well, strongly suggest ... is that you keep a level head, good sense of humor and a large grain of salt on hand at all times.

Even IF our minds are not accessible to alien beings, soul guides, angels or what have you, at least we may access our ever faithful silent partner (the right brain) and be a little better off for having done so.

It's a strange world, after all.

Alien Reincarnation - A Completely New Twist

The subconscious, in its ability to creatively express itself - often in overlays so subtle that were one NOT paying attention and keeping a dream journal (which every student of the paranormal should make the effort to maintain a regular log of sorts) one would live their life oblivious to the deeper, hidden riches essentially at our fingertips - May sometimes unexpectedly bring forth some of these riches in the form of eurekas not ordinarily contemplated by the waking, conscious mind.

Think brain barf of the highest order.

Or better yet, for those less graphically inclined ... imagine an onion whereas each layer represents a facet of consciousness - the outer layer being our waking, working beta ego-self and the subconscious buried closer to the center of the self, where it must pass information through multiple barriers until it is finally *epiphany* received and understood (hopefully) by you and I.

Not an easy task, I might add.

Nonetheless. I've long had a standing interest in the western concept of reincarnation. And I use the adjective 'western' because there are variations galore on the whole 'born again' conundrum.

Now, being of a more academic bent with no allegiance to any structured belief system, it's easy for me to take paranormal experiences with a certain nonchalance that only comes when one hasn't the vested interest of a belief system to uphold/defend.

But I have to admit that the whole concept of birth/rebirth lays uncomfortably under my mental skin, like a burr in the saddle. It's not that I see any problem with energy being *recycled* as it were, rather - it is the alleged loss of memory that typically accompanies such recycling, which, in my opinion, seems like a loss of self hood in the most horrible sense. I don't want to forget my loved ones, my experiences and my accomplishments. I don't like the idea of some separate soul prancing merrily through time and space while *I* am reconciled to the back of the personality closet.

However.

I had an epiphany.

Or with less drama and fanfare, ... let us say I had the most amazing dream which opened up an entirely unique way to consider the workings of reincarnation, and in a way far more palatable to the incarnated ego (moi):
"... decades rolled back, and I was once again fourteen years old. Like a character in a play with full awareness of the roll he played, while consigned to do so only within the pre-defined perimeters of his actions - I knew myself to be far greater than the character I was *imprisoned* within.
I was *imprisoned* within this repeated 14 year old persona - ala Groundhog's Day - but what constrained my free will was something resembling a universal mathematics/sacred geometry set in stone - something I barely, dimly was aware of and powerless to affect.
I say "powerless", but it was the character that was powerless. It was entirely up to the buried self to deliberately or accidentally change the *equation* - for lack of a better term.
So, there I was. Repeating my 14Th year, which included major changes that had immense long term ratifications for the remainder of my waking life (me here) ... when suddenly my mother made a slight, innocuous alteration to the original script.
In that moment - I was FREE!!! Free and flushed with a greater understanding as to how reincarnation (perhaps) worked. It was giddy, and I shook with excitement as suddenly I was *released* from the bonds that had kept me chained to playing this role over and over again.
To my mother I joyfully exclaimed, "This time you didn't buy the couch! You made a subconscious choice to do something different and you have changed the probability! We are free to behave differently this time around, and I am going to try much harder to be a better daughter for you."

The crux of the matter was this: Somehow, someway, we (as humans incarnating) are each trapped within a certain pre-designed, laid out plan/script. And that we will repeat our roles, say in my case being born over and over again to the same parents, the same year, etc - until we are able to *break* a pattern or probability. Does this make sense?

These changes in probability occur not in our conscious minds, but rather in the subconscious or super conscious mind. We do not, or cannot abandon (escape) a role until we have "milked it" in as many ways as are productive (in some fashion that is currently beyond my ability to articulate).

We grow in ever-widening circles, so to speak.

Now, obviously, I cannot say with any certainty that this rather bizarre and outstanding dream contained any verifiable objective truth. I can, cautiously, say that it may contain a germ of factuality insomuch as it helps explain deja vu, premonitions, the sense of being overridden at times by an unknown higher self at the helm, and all other sorts of covert intuitions we are subject to as a species.

If nothing else, it's certainly an interesting take on an old chestnut - that is - reincarnation.
Thoughts?

CLICK

For a change, I'm keeping this one short and simple - hence the title 'CLICK'. What I am referring to here is the mysterious click one may hear open exiting or reentering the human body in the wake of an OBE [Out of Body Experience].

Some people report hearing this *metallic* or sharply hollow sound accompanied by the heavy dross weight of the human body once again encapsulating their etheric form upon returning from NDEs [Near Death Experiences] as well.

So what the deuce is this sound anyway? Or rather, what is the mechanism responsible for the *click* heard round the world, as it were? Are we talking something as prosaic as a common auditory hallucination?

Or something more?

I've heard this myself, just a few times - so there's a vested interest in putting this question out there. In my case, the most recent, the *click* sounded like a robot had snapped it's fingers both inside and outside my head - without any perceived direction the sound had issued from.

But whatever the case may be, I find it wonderfully intriguing that this sound somehow seems to signal - like a mechanism designed especially for this exact purpose - the physical body springing open and releasing its contents, or swinging closed like a trap or iron maiden of yore.

One has to wonder [well, this one does at any rate] if indeed there is some type of vibratory/frequency gadgetry at work by who knows whom/what, where, when and for what ultimate purpose.

Which leads me down the speculative path [admittedly a long path with too many twists and turns] of those supposedly higher intelligences who would have designed such a thing in the first place.

(For some silly reason I'm seeing wee sparks of soul lights popped into the human form, assembly line style, like a sardine factory.)

Anyway, just curious about the whole *click* thing. Any input would be greatly appreciated~

Ultraterrestrials and Other Strangers

While it's easy to jump on the UFOnaut bandwagon, there's an insistent part of my rational self stubbornly resisting the notion that our mysterious visitors - e.g. Gray aliens, for one - are physical 3-D explorers akin to some intergalactic Lewis & Clark team, zipping about the heliosphere waiting to pounce on unwary bipeds from backwater planets in order to deprive them of any superfluous sperm and ova.

Though I could be mistaken.

Nonetheless, for the sake of argument, I'd like to momentarily align myself with some of the more eclectic thinkers in this field of high strangeness - Vallee, Keel, Jung, et al.

What is proposed herein is that the entire realm of paranormal manifestation is a type of bleed-through or evolutionary pressure from a heretofore invisible ... how to put this? ... plane of existence beyond our normal, everyday ability to recognize.

And by recognize, I mean in the sense of mainstream empirical science. We cannot, at will, observe-measure-replicate the paranormal. We can approximate it. We can stimulate areas of the human brain to duplicate certain aspects of the paranormal/human response. But what we cannot do is to control the phenomenon itself.

We cannot manifest, at will, a throng of spindly bug-eyed creatures lounging about the lab for our viewing pleasure.

Admittedly, I have a strong bias against the UFO explanation to start with. If I've beat this drum once, I've beat it a thousand times and I'll beat it here again to briefly explain why I have this bias:
Any aerial sighting in the last approximately 80 years would be incredibly difficult to sort out as to it's origin - particularly in lieu of classified military R & D. It's absolutely pointless or unbelievably naive to expect any country's government to come clean on matters of national security. It's far more likely, - actually rather expected at this point - for test flights, etc to be conducted under the guise of UFO sightings then later denied out of hand. If anything, the paranormal phenomena of *whateverthehell* is going on serves as a beautiful blanket to cover up any messy, albeit necessary, matters of beta experimentation with those earthly technologies still in the early stages of development. And that includes any subsequent psychological/social experimentation as well.

PRIOR to the 20Th Century we did indeed have our reports of aerial ships (and I mean this literally) of which many have later been attributed to journalistic pranksters and their hilarious lot. With all the participants long deceased it would be exhausting to unravel those 19Th century threads to see where they actually originated.

Going further back yet, into the misty annals of written/oral history, we have anecdotes of vimanas, visitors from Sirius, and all the rest. Not to callously dismiss these accountings, but between astronomical anthropomorphics and religious metaphor, let alone misidentifications, et al - it would be akin to finding a needle in the proverbial haystack to factually and finally figure out exactly, precisely what our ancestors were trying to express.

It's pointless, is my point. You can't make good proof out of century old pudding.

So Then.

Better to start here and now, or as a famous President once stated - to do the best, where you are, with what you've got.

The alien phenomena with its associated missing time, sexual/reproductive overtones, false or distorted messages/prophesies and clandestine subjective interface - all sounds amazingly similar to what human beings the world over have struggled to express and understand since time immemorial.

And this is an ongoing phenomena, one that seems to mimic human expectations and our collective ability to frame an understanding for whateverthehellisgoingon. Something, or someone, like the famed Wizard of Oz, seems to be standing right behind a fine curtain, operating and pulling strings, and yet - for all our supposed intellect and technical prowess - we cannot pull this curtain aside and expose him to the light of rational day.

Frustrating, eh?

Which may, it is entirely possible, be the entire point of the matter.

It is a highly plausible theory that the quickest, most efficient way to prompt or jump start an evolutionary leap in species intelligence is to place a species (either collectively or individually) under stress. A stressed species must either adapt, quickly, or perish. This process of deliberate and prolonged stress may also precipitate a type of neoteny, which more than one researcher has hypothesized as being evident in those creatures commonly referred to as the Grays or gray aliens.

And one of the surefire unarguable stresses is to subject an intelligent species to a problem that it cannot intellectually resolve. A conundrum or paradox, maddening at times, presents itself in such a way that the stressed intellect must resolve - or is forced to resolve - the stress, and failing that resolution, the intellect is driven by an inherit survival drive to uncover new tools/methods to solve the problem.

Ask questions for which there are no answers. Demand answers for which no questions exist. The hamster must abandon the wheel, but he cannot until he discovers the means to unlock his cage. Until then, his very nature forces him to spin round and round, getting nowhere and exhausting himself in the interim.

One need look no further than this very blog, or countless others like it, in order to see the intellectual wheels spinning round and round. There are dozens of theories, from the sublime to the ridiculous, which struggle to make sense of the nonsense that many of us face in the subjective twilight of 3 a.m.

At the best we are respectfully heard and sympathised with, at the worst we are branded as lunatics and crazies. The very, VERY worst is when we are branded as mistaken. For those of us who have found ourselves in the grip of a powerful unknown, and have stood eye to eye with something that bares us to the depth of our eternal soul - something we cannot define, understand or express to our fellow species without fear of ridicule - we KNOW what we know to be true.

Whatever that is.

So, are we better off for our excursion into the unknown? Are we the victims of delusion, aberrant brain chemistry, EMF or ELF fields, psychological experimentation or old fashioned alien abduction?

Perhaps the proof in the pudding is what you make of it, after all.

Personally, I 100% do not recommend that one fall victim to the temptations of grandeur, nor any other trappings of ego. Forget the *I am a special chosen One* and all such nonsense. For if anything can truly be said about this phenomena, it has a distinct tendency to blow up in the ego's face.

The Ultraterrestrial theory lends one to suppose that there is a far greater agenda - natural or contrived - at play, and this agenda does its utmost best to manipulate the emotions, expose the ego, and force the intellect to abandon convenient explanations along the way.

Somehow, for good or ill, it forces us to be better than what we are, in a make it or break it kind of way. It doesn't allow for angels or demons, and other superstitious manifestations, for it blurs the line between such dichotomous thinking as the phenomena progresses - being first one extreme then the other.

The Grays themselves may be seen as Saviours or Satans, depending on one's critical thinking and emotional response to whatever experiences have been delicately crafted to the individual him or herself. In a horribly beautiful way it's all very personal, a cloth each of us must wear according to our own dimensions.

And just when we think we can pigeonhole the paranormal into certain well-defined parameters, it changes shape once again and defies the box we keep attempting to confine it within.

So it's back to square one. No matter how brilliant or deductive or clever we think ourselves, we are always sent back to square one.

Such is the nature of stress.
